RehabVisions' occupational therapists and assistants can perform Home Safety Evaluations to make recommendations for home modifications that will reduce the risk of falls. They also use adaptive equipment and a variety of the latest techniques to treat injuries and conditions.
Speech-Language Pathologists, sometimes called Speech Therapists, assess, diagnose, treat and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing and fluency. RehabVisions' Speech Therapists treat patients from all ages with the latest equipment and therapy methods.
Jennifer received her Master's in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas. With more than 21 years experience as a physical therapist, Jennifer specializes in orthopedics and geriatrics. She is certified in treating Lymphedema.
Beth received her Master's in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. She has been a practicing PT for more than 18 years in the area of geriatrics and neurological disorders. Beth is a certified Lymphedema therapist.
Jordyn, an Iowa native, started with RehabVisions in 2018 in home health and long-term care facilities. She found speech-language pathology on a whim at a “majors fair” during her career at the University of Northern Iowa and fell in love with the field. Outside of work she is a wife, mom, avid yoga practitioner and reader.
A practicing physical therapist assistant for more than 28 years, Jill received her degree from Baltimore Community College in Baltimore, MD. She is a certified Lymphedema therapist.
Kaitlyn received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has been a practicing PT for more than nine years. Her areas of practice include geriatrics, orthopedics and home health.
Sherilyn received her Occupational Therapy degree from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and has been a practicing OT for more than 22 years. Her areas of practice include geriatrics and home health.
Kate graduated from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. She has more than 23 years experience working in rehab with a focus on geriatrics and earned a certificate as a senior fitness specialist in 2015.
RehabVisions has certified therapists trained in an evidence-based treatment approach for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders.
For body movement, the treatment is called LSVT BIG and is administered in 16 sessions over a single month (four individual 60-minute sessions per week). The technique was developed specifically to address the unique movement impairments for people with Parkinson’s disease. It is both intensive and complex, with many repetitions of core movements that are used in daily living. This type of practice is necessary to optimize learning and carryover of your better movement into everyday life.
Therapy for workers injured on the job and facing a work comp claim. Patients perform exercises and tasks in the clinic which simulate actual work tasks. Ongoing assessment and guided rehab is completed in a controlled environment. Prolonged appointments are available for patients needing work hardening and/or work fitness/conditioning. Patients receive education in body mechanics, pain management techniques and injury prevention to decrease the risk of re-injury.
